Our Christian Developmental Philosophy
Good Shepherd Preschool believes that a well-rounded child development program must offer the nurturing that every child needs, along with a reasonably structured routine in order for a child to feel secure. This is a place for children to grow at their own pace, to explore, to express, to laugh, and to learn. Sometimes it is a place for children to wait, sometimes to cry or to stomp their feet. We recognize that growth can be painful as well as joyful. The most important ingredients are time, respect, acceptance, and love.
Our Purpose and Goals
• To teach Christian principles through everyday experiences.
• To develop children’s growth intellectually, physically, emotionally,
socially, and spiritually.
• To allow each child to develop at his/her own rate of maturity.
• To prepare children for a happy adjustment into Kindergarten.
• To share the love of Jesus Christ with the children, families, and each other
as we teach His first commandment, “Love one another”.
Good Shepherd Preschool's purpose is to provide a warm
and loving atmosphere along with an educational
program that is appropriate for each child's developmental
level. Balanced growth is very important to our staff,
and we offer activities to further develop the social,
intellectual, physical, emotional,
and spiritual areas in each child's life.
